For this weekly social media tip, I wanted to share a simple organic social media strategy [Facebook] I've developed for a small travel agency.
They have no Facebook ads budget, so we have to do a lot of organic efforts but what has worked in bringing them sales is this:
- Once a week we play "Would you rather" we ask the audience if they would rather travel to destination A or B. Example: Would you rather travel to Spain or South Africa?
The post gets lots of shares and engagement.
- We take the majority, for example, if they choose Spain, the agency will do a Facebook live video talking about Spain, what to do when you travel there what to see, etc.
- The following day we also share a post and direct the audience to watch the live if they have any questions and then include a call-to-action to contact them to get help planning their trip.
They've been receiving some walk-ins each week wanting to book a trip because of a Facebook live they watched on the page.
So by asking the audience where they want to travel, the agency knows exactly what to discuss during the live, and this is also helpful for an audience who wants to go away but not entirely sure where.
They provide lots of value during the live video by sharing personal experiences (if they've traveled there) lots of tips and anything useful travelers should know.
Stay tuned for the next weekly social media tip. Contact me to work on a social media strategy for your business at hello@debbieroy.com or use the contact forms on the website.
