The Ultimate Content Repurposing Guide
Let's face it, in today's marketing world; we NEED to be repurposing our content. When you give your content a fresh spin and repurpose it strategically, you are working smarter, allowing your brand to gain more visibility.
Content Repurposing Is Often Portrayed To Be More Complicated Than What It Is.
If you are new to content repurposing, you'll love this simple, easy-to-follow formula. First, you need to remember that either one blog or one video can become ten pieces (or more) of content without you having to spend endless hours creating new content.
Content Repurposing Strategy for Blog Posts:
💫Write a blog post.
💫Pinterest: Take your most recent blog. Give it a quick scan and highlight 5-10 key points discussed in the blog. Take those key points and create 5-10 pin graphics. Schedule them to go out on Pinterest about one week apart, every 30 to 40 days to drive evergreen traffic to your blog. Be sure to do some keyword research and optimize your description, & titles with a CTA.
Quick Tip: Your 5-10 key points that you will highlight from your article will serve as 5-10 pin titles on your graphics. This allows you to A/B test your graphics to see what your audience loves best.
💫Instagram: Take that same article and those same key points, create 5-10 quote cards. Use your Instagram caption to expand on the topic and provide even more information on each of those key points.
💫Instagram Reels: Each of the points discussed in your blog post can become an Instagram Reel. Be creative in how you showcase your knowledge. The same can also work for creating a TikTok video.
💫Medium: Publish your blog on Medium.
💫LinkedIn: Don't forget about this wonderful platform too! Share your blog here as well.
💫Facebook & Instagram LIVE, Podcasts & Clubhouse: Use your recent article to create an outline of what you will discuss during your next live video, podcast or chat on Clubhouse. You obviously don't want to read word for word but use your blog for topic inspiration.
💫New Blog Posts: Take some important points discussed in your article and come up with new blog titles for future blog posts; we can always expand on the topic and provide more information.
💫Newsletter: Take your blog post and send it out as your newsletter. Email content doesn't have to be complicated.
💫Presentation: Take your recent blog post and use it to create your next webinar or presentation outline. If your content is good enough to be in one of your blog posts, it's good enough to repurpose for a presentation.
💫Video Topics: Take that article and use it for your next video outline. You can also reverse engineer all of the steps above and start with a video vs. a blog post.
As you can see, content repurposing does not have to be complicated. Follow the same guidelines above for a video by simply transcribing your video to text.
