3 Reasons You're Not Making Sales on Social Media

⁣Build it, and they will come....that's what they said anyway 🙃. Sales opportunities are all around us, and we often don't see them because we keep doing exactly what we've always done. Yes, consistency is key, but this doesn't mean that if you keep doing what's not working, you'll see results....NOPE.

There is so much that goes into making sales organically on social, but it doesn't have to be complicated.

Here are 3 Reasons you're not making sales on social media!

⬆⬆⬆

Easy things to change in my opinion, especially if you take action.

You Don't Look at Your Analytics

As business owners and marketers, we'll never know everything that’s a FACT. Keeping on top changes, educating yourself, and looking at your analytics are all needed to succeed on social media.

Make this a regular habit. You'll learn more about your audience and see what's working and what's not.

Various platforms have different degrees of analytics giving you information such as age demographics, when your audience is most online, where they are located, what they are into, and so much more. We should never waste this type of information.

You Haven't Done Your Market Research

Do not skip this step. The more you know about your audience & their pain points, the better.

You do not need a penny to do research, all you have to do is ask your audience, ask your current and past customers what their pain points are, and what they need from you so that you know what to deliver to them.

Quick word of caution, I often see posts in large Facebook groups (500K+) where individuals will ask everyone in the group a market research question. Unfortunately, this type of market research wouldn’t yield the best results since you are practically asking everyone.

What you can do instead is reach out to current or past customers, reach out to smaller niche communities.

You Don't Have Conversations In The DM's (direct messages..)

Start with a simple hello, welcome your new followers, leverage your DM's to ask questions, do some market research, promote both free and paid offers (once you have built that relationship.) Does this sound overwhelming? Well, keep it simple and implement these simple steps...

  • When you get new followers on any platform, send them a quick hello and thank them for being a part of your community.

  • If someone engages with your content likes/comments, send them a quick message to thank them.

  • If you want to know what content to create next, ask your audience what they would love to learn from you.

Let the conversation take its course; the worst thing that can happen is a new friend, collaboration opportunity or a possible sale.

Cheers!
