Are you looking for a Pinterest video downloader? Or a Pinterest Photo downloader? If you are, keep reading. Last month, when I was doing keyword research, I noticed this to be a question that receives a high volume of searches each month, which means you are not the only one looking into this.

In this blog post, we'll talk about whether or not you should be using a Pinterest video or photo downloader and what to do instead. Read until the end because you’ll find the perfect solution to your video needs.

Should You Be Using a Pinterest Video Downloader?

If it's because you want to download a video you like from Pinterest, the answer to this is NO. You should not be using a Pinterest video downloader. "But what if I want to download the content I see on Pinterest?" You shouldn't be doing that. If you like something you see on Pinterest, you should be saving it to one of your Pinterest boards.

If it's because you want to feature a video in a blog post, you can get the pin embed code! This ensures that the brand or creator retains credit for their work.

As I mentioned in a previous blog post, taking content that you see anywhere online and using it on your social media platforms, and adding a note that says "video credit goes to @XYZ" is usually not enough.

This is not unique to Pinterest; anytime you see video content you like on any other platform, if you want to use it and publish it on your platforms, you should ask the creator for permission.

The photos and videos you see on Pinterest belong to a creator or a brand that has taken the time to share this content on Pinterest. In a recent post, I answered the common question, "Are Pinterest Images Free to Use?" In that blog post, I also shared a list of amazing stock video and image websites you can use to find content that you are allowed to use.

"But, I'm sure other people use a Pinterest Video Downloader!" Even if that's the case, it doesn't make it ok. You can familiarize yourself with Pinterest policies here.

What Should You Do Instead of Using a Pinterest Video Downloader?

Well, first, you want to create your own content. Look for stock video providers. You can even find amazing video content in Canva that you can easily edit and share as your own pins.

You can search Canva with various keywords that represent what you are looking for, filter by "vertical," and voila, you'll have so much video content to choose from. Pexels also has amazing stock video content that you can use. You can even search marketplaces like Etsy for stock video content.

If you are searching for a Pinterest video downloader because you want to download your own content, I would recommend developing a content system where you keep an inventory of your content, especially if you know you will want to reuse it in the future.

I hope you found this helpful. Remember to ask creators before downloading and using their content. Pinterest has a save button for one reason: to save pins you like to your boards.

Your Solution Instead of Using a Pinterest Video Downloader?

Plan your video content outside of specific platforms and use an app like InShot to do your editing so that you don't have to be editing each video for each specific platforms.

Remember to use things like captions, think about lighting, use a microphone, etc.

If you don't want to create your own videos or just use videos in the background with text overlay like the one below, find video content on Pexels or Canva. You can also look into various stock video or photography websites.

    See you next time!
